Presentation Guidelines for ICEL5 are indicated below.
The Conference is an in-person only event. While we will be recording sessions, there will be no virtual presentations and one of the authors needs to have registered for and attend the conference. The computers provided may not include an internet connection, so it is not possible to download materials on site.
ICEL5 presentations in concurrent sessions will involve a formal presentation of no more than 15 minutes, and approximately 5 minutes for discussion and questions from the audience. The presentation and discussion for each paper will total 20 minutes. Presenters on panel presentations have been given specific information about the duration of their panel presentation.
Your session chair will signal when you have 5 minutes left, 1 minute left and when you must stop your presentation. Please stop when requested so that you have time for questions.
A computer will be available in each session room, however, it may not include an internet connection. Due to this, you are not able to link video files to Youtube or online video sources. Instead, please ensure you have the video downloaded to the USB separately to the PowerPoint slide file.
PowerPoint slides. Bring your pre-prepared 15:9 (default dimensions) presentation on a USB drive and give this to the QUT student volunteer in the room you are presenting in the break prior to your session i.e. first thing, at morning tea, lunch, or afternoon tea.
Please use the following naming convention for your slides: surname, day, and time e.g. Smith-Friday-1300.
