Marie-Eve Bouthillier

Marie-Eve Bouthillier is Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal (UdeM), and a regular researcher at the Centre de recherche du Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). Initially trained in psychology, she holds a PhD in applied human sciences, with a bioethics option, from UdeM. Prior to obtaining her PhD, she completed a DESS in Bioethics at UdeM, as well as a Master's degree in Medical Ethics and Law at King's College London (England). Her research interests focus on the ethical issues raised by palliative and end-of-life care (EOLC), including medical assistance in dying. She co-directs the Consortium interdisciplinaire de recherche sur l'aide médicale à mourir (CIRAMM), a research team that aims to better understand the use of medical assistance in dying in the Quebec context. This project is financed by the Fond de recherche du Québec.
