Iris Parra Jounou

Iris Parra Jounou is an early career researcher and a part-time professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She holds a PhD in Philosophy (UAB) on Care Ethics and the social and political dimensions of end-of-life, with a special focus on euthanasia and assisted suicide. She is also trained in Nursing and  in Liberal Arts including a PGDip in Prehospital Emergency Care and a MA in Classical and Contemporary Philosophy. Her research is focused on Feminist Care Ethics, end of life, social determinants of health, public health ethics, and the interrelation between health and the arts. She is the co-founder of JAINEOL (Junior Academics International Network on End of Life) as well as a member of different research groups and networks, including POYETICAS, INEDYTO III, ESPACYOS, LIBERESP, and CERC.
