The Crawford Fund 2025 Annual Conference - Registration

Thank you for your interest in registering to attend the 2025 Crawford Fund Conference, "Progress and Prospects for Climate-Resilient Agrifood Systems: Actionable Recommendations for Policymakers and Practitioners.”

The specially styled networking dinner with the Sir John Crawford Memorial Address will be held on Monday, 11 August and the one day event will be on Tuesday, 12 August, both in the Great Hall, Parliament House, Canberra.

Our event this year will be another hybrid event, with the opportunity to attend in person or online.

We encourage you to consider being a mentor for our conference scholars at this year’s conference. More detail on this is provided as you go through the registration process, including the need to be in Canberra for a Monday scholar session from 12-4.30pm. You are not needed after the conference finishes on Tuesday evening.

To register your attendance in Canberra, please complete the following registration details.

Donations and Mentoring for Scholars

Help us support young Australians to our conference and scholar program.

As part of the Fund’s efforts to encourage young people in their study or careers in international agricultural research, scholarships are again being offered to young Australians with a genuine interest in international agricultural development. To help us in our efforts, the Crawford Fund is offering delegates the opportunity to donate additional funds, above their registration fees, for this purpose. You are also invited to mentor a scholar, if you are able to be in Canberra for the start of scholar activities from 12pm Monday, 11 August and are attending the full conference.

In addition to attending the conference, the young and early career students and scientists attend our special ‘scholar days’ – a program of activities, engagement and mentoring involving some conference speakers, experienced international researchers, and returnees from Australia’s volunteer program. The idea is to assist them with guidance on possible career, volunteer and study pathways.

More information on the conference scholarship program is available on our website. Reports from the scholars who attended previous conferences and have gone on to volunteer or work in international agricultural research projects in developing countries or to further study in a related field are provided.

You can read what our last group of conference scholars had to say here.

We approach conference delegates to act as mentors for our scholars throughout the conference experience and during the scholar activities on Monday 11 August. You are welcome to indicate if you would like to be considered as a mentor.

I would like to make a tax deductible donation to The Crawford Fund to support the conference scholars.

QT Canberra

Where culture meets pollies, QT Canberra exerts a power all of its own. In the heart of New Acton, familiar names find their faces on our walls and old characters come together. Meetings with intrigue and high tea that is above it all. Low-lights and moody nights. Start with wine by the glass and end with the bottle. For those that stay up late, but awake bright and early to do it all again. This is a forum where work and play find perfect accord, and even our most seasoned guest can be genuinely surprised.
